This device is intended, more particularly, for indicating numerical data such as the elements of a tarif table, which are determined from several parameters. A medium (1) offers a surface which carries a set of boxes (2) arranged in such a way as to form a path (3). Each box (2) includes a usable area covered with an opaque material (6) capable of being scratched off; under the material (6) a specific data item (5) is entered, which appears only after scratching off. A moving element of the "peg" type (7) can be moved over the path (3), from a starting box (4) to a final positioning box corresponding to the data item (5) to be determined, following a process of movement which takes into account pre-established parameters playing a part in the determination of this data item.
