The subject of the invention is a security grille. The grille is formed by at least two complementary elements (2, 4) which move axially by means of the horizontal bars (7, 8, 9 and 10, 11, 12) in a widthways direction (or receive, by means of telescopic assembly, another element), each end element (2, 4) of the grille being fixed to one of the jambs (5, 6). The axial displacement of the horizontal bars may take place in slots made for this purpose in the vertical uprights. The horizontal bars of one element may be superimposed on the bars of another element or may slide telescopically inside the horizontal bars of another element.
