PURPOSE:To prevent the paste from falling off even when a battery is under manufacture, by forming a mat with a fiber state material arranged in the vertical direction for the surface of a plate, in which the paste is filled to a base material, and adhesively attaching the mat to side parts of the plate. CONSTITUTION:After paste 2 is filled to a base material 3 of expansible type, mats 1 formed by a fiber state material arranged in the vertical direction for the surface of a plate are adhesively attached from the upper and the bottom to lateral side parts 4, 4' of the material 3, then paste papers 5 are allowed to adhere from both sides, while the paper is closely contacted by a roller and the plate is formed. Further the mat 1 is formed to be solidified with acrylate resin or the like by parallelly arranging a glass mat 0.02-0.1mm. in size further mixing 5-10% glass mat 1-3mm. in length. Accordingly, the mat 1 is constructionally formed as an integral unit with the paste 2 in its one side and with the paste paper 5 in the other side, and a fall off of the paste from a plate end part can be effectively prevented. |
