PURPOSE:To obtain a sandwichlike composite molded product having a low- density foam core in a core part, by a method wherein foamable resin particles and curable liquid molding resin are cast into such a part of the inside of a cavity of a mold, where the foam core is formed, along the inside of which at least a reinforcement material is installed. CONSTITUTION:Molds 1, 2 are prepared and a reinforcement material 3 is installed along the inside of the molds, that is, the inside of a cavity of the molds 1, 2. An airtight sheet such as paper or a film or a fiber sheet comprised of an organic fiber or an inorganic fiber or a metallic fiber is used as the reinforcement material 3. A matter comprised of a curing foam, for example, polyurethane or phenol or its precursor or thermoplastic resin such as polyacrylonitrile or polystyrene is mentioned as foamable resin particles. Curable liquid molding resin such as epoxy resin or unsaturated polyester resin well- known generally is used preferably. Although a compounding ratio of the foamable resin particles and liquid molding resin differs with density or tenacity of an obtainable molded product and easiness in molding, a range of 5/95-60/40 is preferable by a weight ratio generally. |
