The combination of a coaster/saucer (4) for cutlery, beaker, or bottle or can has a serving surface (39), for example a serving-tray (3). At least one of the elements of the combination e.g. the saucer/coaster has a magnetic piece (6) preferably part of the stand-base (15). The other part of the combination (e.g. the tray is at least partly of ferromagnetic material e.g. iron. A thin plate or foil (8) made of flexible, elastic material e.g. rubber or plastics is stuck or vulcanised to the underside (5) of the middle of the coaster/saucer.
