Bending hollow metal frame extrusion - by fitting male tool inside, placing in slotted female tools which partly surround it, and bending in machine using polyamide for all tools

Hollow profiled sections, and those for door or window frames and facades in particular, are bent to a set radius round a curved tool by means of an adjustable set of components in a machine. Before bending the section is placed in a slot which partly surrounds it on a bar and is then bent in that position. ADVANTAGE- The method bends metal extrusions but does not affect their dimensional tolerances or stability.
