A lens shift mechanism 32 for a projection-type video display device 10 includes: a horizontally-moving base 60 for horizontally moving a projection lens 31, a vertically-moving base 70 for vertically moving the projection lens, and a horizontally-driving actuator 61 and a vertically-driving actuator 71 for driving the bases. The driving forces from the horizontally-driving actuator 61 and the vertically-driving actuator 71 are each transmitted through a lead screw 671 (751) and two lead nuts 672, 672b (752, 752b) engaged with the lead screw so as to move the horizontally-moving base and the vertically-moving base. An elastic body 672c (752c), which applies pressure to the lead nuts to move away from or come closer to each other along the shaft of the lead screw, is attached to the two lead nuts. This configuration eliminates delays in moving operation by reducing backlash during the movement of a lens. |
