PURPOSE:To easily and surely perform lens cleaning without damaging an optical pickup by providing a lens cleaner, a cleaning state decision means, an optical pickup moving means and an objective lens driving means. CONSTITUTION:When the leans cleaner 1 is mounted, a lens cleaning cloth 13 starts rounding and the decision means judges the lens cleaning state, and the optical pickup 4 is moved in a diameter direction through the moving means 3. Then, the objective lens 5 of the optical pickup 4 is brought into contact with the lens cleaning cloth 13 which is in a rounding state through the lens driving means so as to perform cleaning, and the objective lens 5 is separated from the cleaning cloth 13 by the driving means after the elapse of a fixed time. Thus, the lens cleaning is easily and surely performed without damaging the optical pickup 4. |
