摘要 <p>In one implantation process, the intraocular lens implant (21) is placed partially or completely on the anterior capsular surface (43-1) of the human crystalline lens (43) and is attached thereto by means of glue or adhesive (35). The implant (21) has overall edge-to-edge dimensions that do not extend beyond the human lens (43) periphery. In several embodiments, adhesive receiving wells are formed in the implant lens (21) near the periphery to facilitate attachment of the implant lens (21) to the human lens (43). In another embodiment, the implant lens (21) has structure (91) extending from its posterior side (29) for engaging the human lens (43) to space the implant lens (21) from the human lens (43). In still another embodiment the posterior side (29) of the implant lens (21) is vaulted such that the central portion (29-1) of the implant lens (21) does not engage the human lens (43). In another implantation process, the intraocular lens (241, 251, 261 or 271) is attached to a previously implanted intraocular lens (221) for optical correction purposes.</p>
