<p>A barge and container consists of a hull formed from two lateral and longitudinal water-tight caissons (2, 3) which are connected by lower carrying cross-pieces (4) and by the upper deck (6) and at least one intermediate deck (5) in such a manner that two superimposed tunnels (7, 8) the ends of which are closed by substantially water-tight doors (9, 10) are formed. Each caisson has at least two external carrying telescopic columns (11, 13) the lower ends of which are connected to a carrying, propulsive submersible element (14) provided with internal ballast-type reservoirs and propulsion means.</p> |
