This invention relates to a method and a device for joining two sheet metal details (10,11) preferably shelving details. The details comprise cooperating abutting surfaces where the abutting surface of the first detail (11) has an outwardly extending collar part which is integrated with the detail and which completely or partly surrounds a hole (16) in the surface. The abutting surface of the second detail (10) has a through hole (14) through which said collar part can be inserted the height of the collar part being larger than the material thickness of the second detail (10). The holes (14,16) are non circular and through the collar part a tool can be inserted the tool by a following turning motion deforming the collar part so that the details (10,11) are locked to each other. <IMAGE> |
