<p>This invention is directed to a novel formulation which is useful as a fire retardant in polymers such as polyethylenes, polypropylenes, polystyrenes, and nylons. A fire retardant formulation useful for lending fire retardant properties to synthetic polymeric materials comprising a solid composition precipitated from an aqueous mixture of a sulfate or phosphate oxyacid, an amine, and a surfactant.</p> |
