<p>The system of the invention comprises, for each equipped ship, a transmitter (1) repetitively transmitting the geographical co-ordinates, the speed and the heading of its own ship. Moreover, it transmits any identification code following an address for the exchange of message. If it wants to co-ordinate with other neighbouring ships in order to manouevre, it sends coded messages drawn from a vocabulary.
