The invention relates to a method of producing ice constructions, in which method water is sprayed under cold conditions onto a support structure 1. The invention also relates to the use of ice constructions produced according to the method. In the method according to the invention, water is sprayed onto the support structure 1 and onto fastening elements 2 which are positioned at a distance from said construction, the water being cooled and frozen between the fastening elements and the support structure and on top of the fastening elements as it flows along them.
