The invention relates to the manufacture and method of manufacture of a fan-shaped so-called scalloped fringe which is formed by the assembly of textile materials or the like, attached to a head braid or any other support and obtained by means of a transverse cut (2) of this assembly made of non-shrinkable or already shrunk threads.
