<p>Solubilized poly (sub-unit) surface membrane proteins are obtained by modifying genes with a signal for phosphatidyl anchored proteins. By expressing the modified proteins in an appropriate host, the assembled surface membrane protein may be obtained in a form where it may be released from the membrane and used for a variety of purposes.</p> |
