It consists of three parts, an internal part formed by two symmetrical half-casings made from ceramic or porcelain, which fit together and a joined via their edges, with end and intermediate partitions provided with cutouts for the insertion of a collector tube made from aluminium-coated sheets or from refractory steel. The body is covered by an insulating wrapping and fitted in a protective aluminium-coated metallic casing, the wrapping constituting a damping cushion. The metallic casing is closed at each end by covers whose edges are crimped over a peripheral fin of the body.
