Process making it possible to obtain a geopolymer matrix with fast curing at ambient temperature, for impregnating fibrous composite materials, the said geopolymer matrix being obtained from a geopolymeric inorganic composition, as a powder, containing the following three reactive components: a) an aluminosilicate oxide (Si2O5.Al202) which has the Al cation in (IV-V) coordination b) a sodium and/or potassium alkaline metal disilicate (Na2,K2)(H3SiO4)2; c) a calcium silicate the molar ratio of the three reactive components are equal to or between <IMAGE> so that <IMAGE> with Ca<++> denoting the calcium ion belonging to a weakly basic calcium silicate in which the Ca/Si atomic ratio is lower than 1. The inorganic compositions described in the invention make it possible to obtain a geopolymer matrix which has a curing time equal to 30 minutes at a temperature of 20 DEG C and a rate of curing which makes it possible to obtain crushing strengths (Sc) equal to or higher than 15 MPa after only 4 hours at 20 DEG C, when tested according to the standard applied to hydraulic binder mortars.
