An electric installation device (10) esp. a switch has a base (11) holding the contacts and a support ring (12). A switch actuator (15) is rockably or pivotably mounted. An outer frame (24) and a cover (26) are fixed to the support ring via a clamp frame (18). The device (10) also has a switch rocker (27) which can be connected either with the actuator (15) or the cover (26). The rocker has hooks (34) on two opposite walls (29) which project over the base of the rocker and cooperate with holding walls (39) to connect with the cover. ADVANTAGE - Reduced mfg. costs and shorter assembly time. Can be assembled using simple, commonly available tools.
