Reinforcing element for lightweight concrete panel

The structural element is formed from a panel made of aerated concrete enclosed in a rectangular metal frame (1) with cross-members (15 to 25) formed from metal angle sections which reinforce the concrete panel. The reinforcing members consist of sheet metal angle sections formed from metal strip folded along a longitudinal line. Tongues are stamped out of each flange with the tongues of one flange projecting outwards whilst the tongues of the other flange project inwards. The flanges of the section are at 90 deg. to each other.
