<p>A stanchion (18) is provided with a latch system which is operable from the tractor (10) which positions the trailers (12) such that a gate (34) on the tractor (10) locks and unlocks the latch to appropriately reposition the stanchion (18) during the positioning of the trailer (12). The tractor (10) also includes a hook (38) which engages the stand (26) to raise the stand (26) during loading of the trailer (12) from its lowered to its raised position to engage and secure the tractor and also to reposition the unlocked stand (26) during unloading of the trailer (12).</p> |
