A peptide having an amino acid sequence useful as the preventive and remedy for allergic diseases, represented by the following general formula (I), and salt thereof: A-B-Asp-C-D-Ile-E-F-G, wherein A represents Ala or Pro, B represents Phe or Cha, C represents Ile, Leu, tert-Leu or Val, D represents Phe, Tyr or Cha, E represents Gly, Lys or Arg, F represents Lys, Arg or Orn, and G represents OH, NH2, NHEt, Lys, Ser, Thr, OMe, (α) or (β), and wherein each amino acid residue may be any of the D, L and racemic forms, provided that at least one among all the amino acid residues must be the D form(s) when A, B, C, D, E, F and G represent Pro, Phe, Leu, Phe, Arg, Lys and OH, respectively.
