Procedure and equipment for transport of solid material from one pressure to another. The equipment comprises a housing 12 and a rotor 18 rotating within the housing. On the curved periphery of the housing there is an inlet opening 14 and a discharge opening 16 for solid material. In the rotor there is at least one sluice chamber 28, 30, arranged radially, which opens out on the rotor's curved casing. When the rotor turns, the sluice chamber goes from the inlet opening to the discharge opening and then back to the inlet opening. The rotor surface fits tightly against the inner surface of the housing, so preventing pressurized gases flowing from the inlet opening to the discharge opening, and vice versa. <IMAGE>
