PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an object with high accuracy.SOLUTION: An object detection device 110 includes a projection unit 120 that projects a pattern picture in a predetermined region, an imaging unit 130 that images the pattern picture projected in the predetermined region and acquires the imaged pattern picture, and a calculation unit 140 that detects an object in the predetermined region by comparing the pattern picture and the pattern imaged picture. The projection unit 120 projects and transforms the pattern picture projected on a reference plane corresponding to a virtual plane set in the predetermined region.
