The invention relates to a simple, inexpensive and effective reinitialisation device for the digital control units of apparatus connected to or installed in telephone systems. These reinitialisations are automatically triggered by the device upon receiving service messages. In one embodiment example, a device for detecting the ringing call train (1) and a device for detecting the unhooking of the handset (2) deliver, on the wires (3) and (4), a voltage pulse (5) and a change in the level of the voltage (6). These signals (5) and (6) are applied to the inputs of a binary adder (7) which imposes, on the wire (8), the sum, in the binary sense, of the signals present on the wires (3) and (4). The voltage present on the wire (8) is applied to a capacitor (9) so as, with the aid of components (10) and (11), namely a diode and a resistor, to generate a pulse (12) on the wire (13) which is connected to the reinitialisation input (14) of the microcontroller (15). <IMAGE>
