The system holds a steel railway sleeper in position in a bed of ballast. The sleeper ends each comprise two spaced H-shaped girders. Profiled members, parallel to the rails and symmetrical w.r.t. the track centre line, are secured between their flat undersides, to which they are welded, while their shanks extend vertically downwards from them. Premounted rail guides are situated at the sleeper ends. Each profiled member is of right-angle section with two shanks (8, 9). The first shanks is welded at the ends to the sleeper underside, while the second one is slightly higher than guide (15). The distance between the outsides of the second shanks (8) on a sleeper (1) is equal to the distance between the guide faces on the guide outer or inner shoulders.
