A gas partial pressure sensor with a membrane has free point cathodes in the roughened convex measurement surface of an insulator in an electrolyte space bridged by a removable membrane. The membrane lies close to the measurement surface and is sealed against a sealing surface outside the edge by a sealing ring. The sealing surface is an end surface (15) flush with the surface of the electrolyte space opening. The ring (10) is compressed by a flange (16) essentially vertically with respect to the opening surface. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. for detecting detecting pressure O2 in water with measurement value stability independent of pressure.
