Method for cleaning coke gas of hydrogen sulphide and hydrogen cyanide in two or more technological steps, in particular, with the assistance of a chosen stream of technological ammoniac water, such as water from the direct circulation for gas cooling, as well the use of warmth from cooled gas and the movement of technological waters are transferred to one chosen gas stream part of the impurities from the other gas stream, leading to an increase in the concentration of impurities in the gas stream at least one and half times, or even two times, in relation to the other gas stream, whilst for the cleaning of the gas in this stream technological ammoniac water with an elevated level of impurities is used, better still condensation water from the direct cooling of gases by known methods.<IMAGE>
