The invention concerns a mixing member in a mixing machine for stack material, which is intended to mix compost stacks into the soil or add mixed materials. The rotatable mixing member 4 has a centrally situated tube shaft, in the middle area of which essentially radially projecting wings 6 have been secured, which on both sides have spiral flanges 7 which surround the shaft 5 and, when the mixing member 4 rotates, bring soil which is to be mixed against the wings 6.
