<p>The invention relates to a closure device of the type comprising, for controlling at least one bolt (14), a rod (15) mounted slideably under the control of a control member available to the user, with, associated with this rod (15), stop means capable of limiting its stroke in at least one direction of movement. According to the invention, these stop means comprise at least one pawl (32, 32') which, mounted tiltably, is designed to be braced between the rod and an element stationary relative to the latter; for example, this pawl (32, 32') is carried by a fixed axle (36), and it has, on the one hand, a nose (33), by which it is designed to bear on the rod (15) simply by gravity, and, on the other hand, a shoulder (34), by which it is designed to be braced on said rod when this nose (33) is engaged in a recess (35) provided for this purpose in the rod (15).
