COLLAPSIBLE BICYCLE WITH RELEASABLE GROUND STAND A collapsible cycle comprising an elongated frame having a rear end and a front end, a rear wheel carried by the rear end of the frame, a stem, a front wheel carried by one end of the stem, a brace in the general plane of the frame having a rear end pivoted to an intermediate portion of same frame about a brace pivotal axis transverse to the frame, first and second connectors connecting to the stem the front end of the frame and of the brace respectively, both connectors shiftable along the stem and allowing rotation of the stem relative to the frame in the plane of the latter, the distance between the first connector and the brace pivotal axis being shorter than the distance between the second connector and the brace pivotal axis, whereby in the erected position of the cycle, the two connectors are at a predetermined distance apart along the stem and the latter is maintained generally normal to the frame by the triangular arrangement of the interconnected stem, brace and frame; shifting of both connectors along the stem in a direction away from the front wheel, and causing the connectors to take a closer distance apart along the stem, resulting in rotation of the stem to a position along the side of the frame corresponding to the collapsed position of the cycle. A releasable stand enables to support the cycle in either an erected collapsed position or an operative, extended, horizontal position.
