A method for joining together elements 2,4 configured as strips, sheets or the like, consisting of unvulcanized rubber material and provided with tack reducer on their outer surfaces, a section 24 of the one element being placed on a section 26 of the other element to form an overlap joint and the sections being mechanically bound together by the material sections being breached at one or more mutually spaced locations to expose rubber material free from tack reducer and by the rubber material of the two sections, as it is simultaneously subjected to local compression, being mixed to achieve the bonding of the sections one to the other (Fig. 2b). <IMAGE> |
