LINING CAST IRON PIPE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

The iron or steel pipe having corrosion resistant lining is produced for use in a sewage system for acidic or basic waste water. The method comprises: preparing a mixture of epoxy or another thermosetting resin of 60-325 mesh grain and silica sand of 25-270 mesh grain in the ratio of 5-35:95-65 to fill in a trough longer than the length of the pipe; heating the pipe in the range of 150-300 deg.C and rotating the pipe to generate centrifugal force within the pipe; placing the trough filled with the mixture of resin and silica within the pipe in a way of passing through the center of the pipe lengthwise; tipping the trough in the direction of the pipe rotation to spill the mixture over the pipe inner wall for the resin to melt-fuse in reinforcement of sand with the hot inner surface to form a lining layer of the pipe in an even thickness.
