PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of efficiently producing a microbial fermentation product by filtering a hydrophobic solvent extract of a microbial fermentation product without reducing a filtration rate.SOLUTION: A method for producing a microbial fermentation product comprises the steps of: (1) extracting a microbial fermentation product with a hydrophobic solvent, the product being obtained by performing microbial transformation of a reaction substrate in a culture medium containing a defoaming agent; (2) mixing the extract with a hydrophobic solvent containing the microbial fermentation product obtained by the step (1) with an alkali aqueous solution, and thereafter separating the hydrophobic solvent extract from the alkali aqueous solution; and (3) filtering the extract with a hydrophobic solvent obtained by separating from the alkali aqueous solution in the step (2). |
