The arrangement for spraying glue into the dowel hole bore of a workpiece contains an enclosed glue system in which the glue is under pressure, at least one glue valve with a spray aperture and at least one tube feeding the glue from reservoir container to the glue valve. An electronic throughput detector (10) is arranged in each glue tube (8). The detector has a housing (11) through which the glue passes and a steel core (12) movable in the housing so as to leave part of its cross-section clear. When the glue valve (1) is opened the core is moved by the glue w.r.t. an induction coil (14) enclosing the housing. The voltage change induced in the coil is converted into a control signal. USE/ADVANTAGE - For use in wooden object manufacture to achieve controlled application of glue to dowel holes.
