<p>A stairlift comprises a chassis carried by a rail having inclined portions (4, 24) along flights of stairs (1, 3) and a horizontal portion (16 - 19) along a landing (2). These portions are connected by curved portions (9, 10, 11, 12, 14; 20, 21), each of which comprises an upper member with an upper curved transverse web (14) and a lower member with a lower curved transverse web (12). The horizontal and curved portions are formed from standard components selected or adjusted for the location of the stairlift.</p> |
