<p>A radiator (1) for the cooling system of a vehicle is provided; said radiator (1) comprising a header tank (16) and a bottom tank (14) interconnected by a core (15) through which air can flow and said header tank (16) being provided with a filler tube (19) fitted with a double seal filler cap (21) through which coolant can flow in opposed directions depending on the conditions pertaining at a given instant the header tank (16). Said header tank (16) has formed integrally therewith a coolant recovery tank (23); this coolant recovery tank (23) being connected to the header tank (16) by a passageway (32, 33, 34) extending from the coolant recovery tank (23) to a point in the filler tube (19) of the header tank (16) which is normally on the unpressurised side of the filler cap (21) but which is connected to the pressurised side of the filler cap (21) when the predetermined coolant pressure set by the filler cap (21) is exceeded. <IMAGE></p> |
