Methods for controlling switching matrixes in a switching node of a broadband switching system, in which the message is split into blocks and transmitted via broadband transmission paths in accordance with an asynchronous time-division multiplex method, are known. In such methods, the received blocks are bit-serially transmitted between input and output line in the switching node of the broadband switching system. To reduce the bit rate in the switching node, a bus is arranged between input and output line, the blocks being transmitted in bit-parallel manner via the bus. The blocks arriving via the input lines are successively supplied to the bus. At the output end, the bus is connected to a buffer, a decision logic connected to the buffer deciding which outgoing blocks are transmitted via which output line. |
