A cop tray is employed to transport tubes to spinning units, and cops from the frame. The tray has a vertical peg, a circular base and a surround, as three separate components. Pref. the base (1) is a circular plate (4) with a vertical central hollow core (6) which has a top shape to take a peg (3). These have a cone fixing element to assemble together, by means of rings and a bayonet projection. A surround (2) fits around the vertical core of the base plate. This may have a groove around the periphery, at distinctly different heights, and a recognition symbol. The surround (2) is interchangeable, but may be glued to the base, or held by a ring (18) which fits into a groove (19) in the vertical core (6). In some cases the height of the groove (22) for indentity, may be changed by re-positioning the rim (20) clipped to the surround by a spring (21). ADVANTAGE - The cop tray has various means of identification, on the vertical peg or the surround, and a combination which gives greater scope.
