PURPOSE:To provide a downsized DC power supply having high output capacity with low cost by quickening the switching rate. CONSTITUTION:The DC power supply employes a switching element Q1 for producing a predetermined output current from an input power supply 1 through a transformer 3. The DC power supply comprises an oscillation circuit for ON/OFF driving the switching element Q1 comprising a series circuit of the tertiary winding N3 of the transformer 3, a resistor R1 and a capacitor C1 connected with the base of the switching element Q1, a resistor R3 for detecting the current flowing through the switching element Q1, a first transistor Q2 having base being applied with a voltage from the detecting resistor R3 and discharging the capacitor C1, and a second transistor Q3 for discharging energy stored in the tertairy winding N3. |
