The invention concerns a dimensionally stable packing container (24) made of cardboard or corrugated paper and with an attached carrying strap (17) consisting of a strip of paper (25), preferably folded at several points along its longitudinal axis, the ends (18, 19) of the strip being bonded with adhesive to the container (24) on opposite sides (2, 4) of the container. The aim of the invention is to propose a container where the adhesive bond between the strap and container will not be damaged in filling machines or during transport of the container. This is achieved by virtue of the fact that the ends (18, 19) beyond the double fold (20, 21) in the carrying strap (17) are passed on opposite sides (2, 4) of the container (24) through a slit (15, 16), whose length is approximately the same as the width of the strip of paper (25), and the ends bonded flat against the inside of the container. |
