This rapid coupling is intended for the rotatable axial connecting of two members and very particularly of torque-transmitting shafts. It comprises at the end of one of the members a sleeve (8) pierced by at least one helical slot (14, 16) over which there axially slides a ring (18) comprising at least one longitudinal slot that is laterally offset with respect to the entrance (14) to the helical slot. The ring (18) is pushed by a spring (24) towards the entrance of the sleeve (8). The second member has a heel (4) which is provided with a drive finger (6) which, by penetrating into the helical slot, pushes the ring away but is guided under the action of the spring (24) and of the edges of the two slots into the far end of the helical slot and is then locked into this position with no play. ……
