Unit includes a pressure stable tank container with a gas supply and a gas removal connection. The tank container is filled with a solid, substituted polyacetylene polymer of formula -(R1-C=C-R2)n-, where R1 and R2 are organic residues. The substituted polyacetylene polymer pref. contains a methyl group (R1) and a silyl-tri-methyl group (R2). ADVANTAGE - The unit has increased storage capacity.
