1. A battery comprising:
a housing; a cell element disposed within the housing; a vent member coupled to the housing and configured to deploy from the housing in response to an increased pressure within the housing; and a current collector, comprising:
an inner member attached to the vent member such that, when the vent member deploys from the housing in response to the increased pressure within the housing, the inner member remains attached to the vent member;an outer member coupled to the cell element; anda plurality of flexible arms extending between the inner member and the outer member and configured to flex to allow the inner member to move in a direction relative to the outer member, wherein the direction comprises both an axial component along an axis of the current collector and a circumferential component about the axis.
