The barrel has,on the outside, holders for taking up hooks or clips which can be temporarily attached for transport purposes. Several holders can be evenly distributed round the circumference of the barrel. The holders can have insert openings for inserting the hooks which are separated from the inside of the barrel by an intermediate wall. The holders are attached without impairing the inner contour of the barrel. The holders can have such stability in the circumferential direction of the barrel that during manual transport the barrel can be rolled. ADVANTAGE - Several barrels can be stacked in several superposed planes by attaching the hooks or clips to the barrel underneath.
