<p>A magneto-optical recording apparatus comprises an optical head for irradiating a magneto-optical recording medium with an optical beam, and a magnetic head for applying a magnetic field to the recording medium, a core of which is made of a single crystal ferrite material. In the magneto-optical recording apparatus, an easy magnetization direction based on a magnetic anisotropy of the single crystal ferrite material making a main pole portion of the core of the magnetic head may be so arranged as to be substantially coincident with a direction of the magnetic field applied to the magneto-optical recording medium, or with a direction of magnetization caused by a coil in a coil winding portion of the core of the magnetic head. <IMAGE></p> |
