<p>There is proposed a driving-rod mechanism 1 for windows, doors or the like, with two driving rods 31, 32 oppositely displaceable under a face-plate rail 12, which is characterised in that the plane of rotation for the toothed rim 16 of the pinion 15 of the plane of movement of the engagement toothings 22d and 23d, meshing with this, of the two push members 22 and 23 are located in the cross-sectional region of the housing 11 conventionally taken up by the face-plate rail 12, so that the tip diameter 17 of the pinion 15 can correspond to the cross-sectional width of the face-plate rail 12.
