A shut-off or control valve, especially a ballcock, for gaseous and fluid material flows, having a housing and pipe connecting elements as well as a positioning element and a seating element associated therewith. The positioning element and the seating elements have corresponding flow channels which are guided in sintered-ceramic material. At least the flow channel of the positioning element is arranged in a sleeve which consists of the sintered-ceramic material. The sleeve is inserted into a hole in the positioning element, relieved of pressure with respect to the material flow. The sleeve is held in the hole in a positively locking or force-fitting manner. ……
