Disclosed is a magnetically suspended bearing switching power amplifier, comprising a main control circuit (100), a drive circuit (200), a triple-bridge-arm main power circuit (300) and a current sampling circuit (400). The triple-bridge-arm main power circuit (300) comprises three bridge arms and two bearing coils; upper bridge arms of a first bridge arm and a third bridge arm are provided with switches thereon and a lower bridge arm of a common second bridge arm is provided with a switch thereon, or lower bridge arms of the first bridge arm and the third bridge arm are provided with switches thereon and an upper bridge arm of the common second bridge arm is provided with a switch thereon, and a drive signal on the switch of the common second bridge arm has a fixed duty cycle. Also disclosed is a control method of the magnetically suspended bearing switching power amplifier. The magnetically suspended bearing switching power amplifier and the control method thereof reduces the volume and switching loss of the amplifier, and the control method is easy and convenient.
