Prodn. of a light-sensitive recording medium with a photopolymerisable recording layer of at least 2 superimposed, firmly adhering individual layers of the same or different compsn. involves melting, homogenising and degassing the components of the individual layers in a self-cleaning, twin-screw extruder, transporting the mixt. as separate streams, bringing the streams together in an adapter or multiplex nozzle to form the individual layers and calendering. The novel features are that (a) the components obligatory for all individual layers are melted, mixed and degassed in the extruder; (b) the mixt. is divided into 2 or more streams; and (c) at least one of these streams is discharged from the extruder and transported to the adapter or multiplex nozzle by a pump, additional components being added to this stream during transport. ADVANTAGE - The process is continuous, simple and economical.
